“New 7 Wonders”
There’s an urgent call to vote for our very own TUBBATAHA REEFS in the ongoing worldwide search organized by UNESCO and New 7 Wonders Foundation for the “New 7 Wonders of Nature “. Tubbataha Reefs is the only Philippine natural wonder nominated to this worldwide online poll.
As of this this writing, it is ranked 30 among the Top 77 official nominees. Poll will close on December 31, 2008. By January 2009, the top 77 will be submitted to a panel of experts who will then shorten the list to 21 finalists. The 21 finalists will undergo a second round of popular voting until the end of 2009. The top 7 nominees will then be officially declared the “New 7 Wonders of Nature” by summer of 2010.
