Daryl Laut is located at the west side of Caban Island. It is the wreckage of what was once a floating hotel/casino back in the 1980′s that sank when it was struck by lightning. The skeletal remains of the Daryl Laut lies tilted along the reef slope with the higher end at about 40 feet deep and the lower end at about 90 feet. This dive site is popular among novice divers because of the near absence of current and a favorite advance open water check-out site for a deep dive. It boasts of resident school of batfish , frogfish, squirrel fish and a variety of small reef fishes.
